C.A.R.E. Ministries - Founded in 1996 by Bishop CV Singletary and his wife Mabel, C.A.R.E. Ministries uses a holistic approach to ministry by caring for the mind, body and spirit. Family Promise of Bergen County - Formerly The InterReligious Fellowship for the Homeless (IRF) is the ONLY organization in Bergen County helping working homeless families to overcome personal crisis and return to self-sufficiency. Camp Shalom - Offering a very special opportunity for multiply handicapped and developmentally delayed children and young adults to take part in a wonderful day camp experience. Camp YDP - Provides both after-school and summer camp programs from its Northside neighborhood facility in Paterson. This year the summer campers have a trip to Keansburg Amusement Park scheduled. Our donation will help lower the overall cost of the trip and make it financially available to more campers.
Wounded Warrior - Run by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8936, this program is an ongoing outreach to wounded military personnel at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. and the Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, MD. A contingent from the post visits these medical centers three times a year on average, delivering personal care and other items requested by soldiers and Marines. William Huston, quartermaster of the post, said “Members of all branches of the service who require major surgery and rehabilitation make use of those facilities especially those men and women who have suffered horrific wounds in Iran and Afghanistan. Lebanon Community Development Corporation - The mission of the Center is to provide computer literacy and mentoring for youth in the greater Westwood area. Administered out of the Lebanon Baptist Church for seven years, the Computer Literacy Program offers general computer instruction, an after-school drop-in technology program, and mentoring. The current program draws about 60 students annually from the greater Westwood area, but it is hoped that the newly constructed Tyron D. Franklin Center will attract more students. The pre-fabricated building will house the Lebanon Computer Literacy Program and will feature "smart" classrooms, office space, and a state-of-the-art computer lab.
SEARCH for Christian Maturity - For late high school/early college teens and young adults, SEARCH enables youth to explore their faith in a safe, supportive environment through a weekend retreat experience and follow up "Fourth Day" reunions. searchretreat.org
The Thomas J. Riley Senior Center - Located in Westwood House, a senior living facility, the Riley Center provides services designed to meet the physical & social needs of seniors which includes a 5-day a week hot lunch and activities for the health and well-being of senior clients.
Dr. David Goldberg Child Care Center - A not-for-profit childcare center in the heart of Westwood which has been serving children and their families from 1967 through 2009.
Mission Honduras - Meeting the needs for food, clothing, shelter, education and spiritual enrichment of communities in rural Honduras. Helping Hand Food Pantry - Located in the Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Helping Hand provides basic foods/staples to our neighbors in need here in the Pascack Valley area.
